Long-standing renowned accommodation name in the domain of hospitality in Sirmione, dating back to the beginning of the last century, the Hotel Pace has been being run by the Barelli family since 1984, who wanted to boost the innate feature of this hotel ideal for relaxation, contemplation and tranquillity, which the lake naturally conveys.
“Omen nomen” (i.e. Destiny in the name), as claimed by the Latins: the Hotel Pace already in its name symbolically embodies its very essence, now also enhanced through the furnishings in a somewhat British style, with antiques featuring a peaceful seclusion and contemplation atmosphere.
Breakfast is served in the dedicated room facing the lake and in the jetty area, with cakes and biscuits prepared in the internal kitchen and baked every morning: in the enchanting setting of the water and colours of the garden hydrangeas, the buffet is arranged with great care to welcome you in the morning with a pleasure for the eyes and not only of the palate.
Lunch and dinner, if requested, are served at the Catullo Hotel, belonging to the same owner, 20 metres far from the Pace Hotel.
The bar is available in the lobby during the day.
At the hotel, on the ground floor, there is a space for a meeting room used and set up on different occasions as a venue for meetings and training courses.
In order to foster a more sustainable approach to the town, the historic centre of Sirmione is not accessible by car. For Sirmione hotel facilities and their guests, a private parking is available at a reduced rate of 13 euros per day at the Grifo Parking in Piazzale Europa. Directions to access the car park are sent by email at the time of booking, alternatively you can use the practical QR Code, while upon car check-in a card is issued directly by Grifo Parking.
So as to get to the Hotel Pace, if you take advantage of the parking service, there is a shuttle service available with electric vehicles. From the car park the hotel is also easily reachable on foot, with a walk of a few hundred metres.
The romantic and refined terrace overlooking the lake and the classic cornice of the hotel can host wedding receptions, up to fifty guests, including lunch preparation.
Enjoy the best day of your life in the one-of-a-kind location of Sirmione.
In the 1930s the Hotel Pace was the boarding house which hosted two writers and friends, the Irishman James Joyce and the Englishman Ezra Pound, who arrived in Sirmione on their journey to Italy in the wake of the Grand Tour experienced by their predecessors in previous centuries.
Inspired by the stay in Sirmione and at the hotel, Joyce and Pound also reported such event in the letters they later exchanged, recalling these places with affection and nostalgia.
