Hotel Pace: Latins would have said “nomen omen” because the name itself emblematically sums up the characteristics of this Hotel located in the town centre. Hotel Pace is found in a pedestrian oasis, in one of the most beautiful historical towns in Italy, directly on the lake front, surrounded by natural quiet – typical of the lake towns – an aspect it tries to replicate inside.
The hotel dating back to the beginning of the last century, occupies a building with a particularly significant history, the union of an old hotel and the Santa Corona religious institute for children with heart problems or for persons suffering from nervous complaints: at the time medicine was non particularly evolved and the lake, infusing tranquillity, was called upon to aid convalescence and healing.
The hotel exudes intimacy and a very family atmosphere. It has in fact been managed for almost twenty-five years by the Barelli family. It has a fascinating, almost British style, with antique furnishing and particular attention has been paid to recovering the original materials such as the wooden beamed ceilings, marble stairs, the ancient stone and brick walls and the wooden and ancient terracotta floors.
The hotel has a private car-park. The Internet point is perched at the top of a kind of tower, with views over the terraces and ancient roofs of the town.
